Arrive -Nairobi Panafric Hotel (BB)
Day 1. Arrive this morning or in the evening in the city of Nairobi and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Lake Nakuru N/P Lake Nakuru Lodge (FB)
Day2. After an early breakfast check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Stopover at Thomson Falls, Nyahururu for viewing of the waterfall. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. After lunch, proceed on an afternoon game drive in the park fame for its abundance of birdlife including millions of flamingoes, rhino and scenic landscape. You return to your lodge late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Bontana Hotel
Lake Baringo Soi Safari Lodge (FB)
Day3. Depart after breakfast to Lake Baringo one of the lakes on the floor of the Rift Valley. Scenic landscape with clear views of the Tugen Escarpment which part of the western Rift Valley escarpment while on the East the Aberdares ranges establish themselves on the horizon. Check in by mid-morning, later boat excursions to the central island of the lake home to the Njemps people closely related tribe to the Masai though unlike the Masai who are pastoralists their main activity is fishing using traditional boats made of reeds and palms wood.
The lake host various birdlife including the fantastic Fish eagle and hippos which can be seen grazing early morning and evenings. Visit the Pokot village late afternoon. Pokot a nomadic tribe that live on the hash dry and remote parts of the Rift Valley.
Lake Bogoria N/P Bogoria Resort & Spa (FB)
Day4. Depart after breakfast to Lake Bogoria also situated on the floor of the Rift Valley. Check In at the resort by mid-morning and then drive to the shores of the lake. This lake is fame for its hot springs (geysers) and huge population of flamingoes. There also other wildlife like zebras and antelopes. Return to the resort for lunch. Afternoon guided walking excursion or relaxing in the herbal swimming pool from the hot springs.
Kakamega Forest Rondo Retreat (FB)
Day5. There are so many exciting things to see and to do in experiencing and exploring the wonderful world of the tropical rain forest. After breakfast you will start with the rolling lawns and flowerbeds of Rondo’s upper garden, already alive with animals and birds. Together with the resident guide lead out into the forest proper, trees of tremendous height, great girth and massive buttresses, hanging with lianas, flowers including 60 species of orchids and 9 are endemic (found only in Kakamega Forest), butterflies there are representatives of every African family of butterflies.
Some of these include the Regal and Broad Green-banded Swallowtails, the Black-tipped Diadem, the Forest Mother of Pearl, and Hobart’s Red Glider, the only scarlet butterfly in the Forest. Animals In addition to the monkeys already mentioned there are Giant Forest and Flying Squirrels, mongooses, civets, servals, and genets, smaller antelope such as duikers, and numerous species of bats. The Hammer-headed Fruit Bat is endemic to Kakamega Forest, and is the largest bat on the African continent with a wing span of almost one meter and a huge head.
Return for lunch which there after you will hike to Lirhanda Hill (Smiling Bald Peter we call him) that rises above the forest canopy with stunning vistas of the forest and surrounding countryside. Return to the retreat later for dinner and overnight.
Kisumu Kiboko Resort (FB)
Day6. After breakfast depart to Kit Mikaye with a stop over at the “Weeping Stone” rock formation
After lunch visit Kisumu museum striking features of the museum include a diverse collection of flora and fauna species. The most notable animals are reptiles and amphibians, collected from Nyanza and neighbouring provinces. A traditional Luo homestead and other traditional Luo artifacts constitute part of the exhibits the museum keeps. Later drive to Hippo point for some boat rides and fish market visit. Return to your resort for dinne5r and overnight.
